Food nutritional component refer to the nutrients and beneficial ingredients in food, which have specific physiological functions and can maintain the body's growth, development, activity, reproduction and normal metabolism. Including protein, fat, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins.
At present, in the context of world economic integration, the internationalization of food nutrition labeling has become an inevitable trend. More than 70 countries and regions and international organizations, including China, the United States and the European Union, have formulated or are revising regulations on food nutrition labeling. The implementation of nutrition label regulations is conducive to the publicity of food nutrition knowledge, guide consumers to choose appropriate products, and also conducive to the standardization of nutrition label labeling by enterprises, promoting the healthy development of the food industry.
With a professional food standards and regulations technical team as the core, Ti Food and Agriculture Division has set up a food label compliance project team. In accordance with domestic and foreign food safety laws, regulations and standards, to reduce the safety risks of food labels of enterprises and ensure product compliance for the purpose of providing enterprises with label compliance and product compliance related services.
It is stipulated in Article 26 of the Food Safety Law that food safety standards shall include requirements for labels, signs and instructions related to food safety requirements such as hygiene and nutrition; they shall also include the requirements for nutritional components of main and supplementary food specially for infants and other specific groups of people.
General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Food (GB 28050), Basic Terms of Food Nutritional Components (GB/Z 21922), Hong Kong Regulation on Food and Drugs (Composition Combination and Volume Labeling) (Amendment: Requirements on Nutrition Labelling and Nutrition Claims), European Union REGULATION (EU) No 1169/2011 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 25 October 2011 and United States 21 CFR 101.9 all put forward specific requirements for nutrition labeling.
The Food and Agriculture Division of Ti Testing and Certification Group can provide comprehensive testing of nutrient component:
1. Testing parameters include: protein, fat, carbohydrates (monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides), minerals (sodium, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, zinc, etc.) and vitamins (vitamins A, D, E, K, Group B, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, etc.), trans fatty acids, saturated fatty acids, sugars, dietary fiber, organic acids, sugar alcohols, etc.
2. Nutrition label testing of various countries and regions: China, the United States, the European Union, Australia and New Zealand, China Hong Kong, China Taiwan, etc.
3. Testing methods: national standard methods and AOAC, ISO and other international methods.
