CB system (IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment) is an international system operated by the IECEE (International Electro-technical Committee for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment). The certification bodies of each member country of the IECEE test the safety performance of electrical equipment on the basis of IEC standards. If the applicant's product has obtained CB test certificate and CB test report, the product may be transferred directly to the local certification of each member country by use of the CB report and CB certificate (some countries may need to supplement the local discrepancy test applied, such as EMC test, or plug test, etc.). The main objective is to promote international trade by bringing manufacturers closer to the ideal objective of "One Test for Many Applications" by promoting harmonization of national and international standards and cooperation between product certification bodies.

Effective Date: 1906

Member Countries of IECEE: 60 full member countries and 23 associate members up to December 2017.

Issuing Organization (CNB): There are so many certifying authorities for CB and almost every member state has a fixed certifying authority. For example, CQC for China, JAT for Japan, UL for America, SGS for Switzerland, Intertek for Britain, Nemko for Norway, TUV for Germany and so on. CB agencies which often cooperates with Balun: TÜV Rheinland Group, or Rheinland.

Product Scope: audios and videos, information technology, household appliances, cells/batteries, nuclear power, solar photovoltaic and other more than 100 types of products

CBTL: Laboratories accredited by the certifying authority, such as Balun Technology accredited by TUV,

BQB (Bluetooth Qualification Body) certification is a compulsory certification by SIG (Special Interest Group) for the global use of Bluetooth technology or Bluetooth trademark under market sales supervision. If a product uses the Bluetooth technology or the Bluetooth trademark, it must obtain the SIG license, i.e. pass the BQB certification so that it can legally use the Bluetooth technology and the Bluetooth trademark.

Effective Date: SIG was established in 2002.

Product Scope: All Bluetooth products sold in the market using Bluetooth technology or trademark

1).BQB QDL：
Namely the first Bluetooth certification application of this Bluetooth product; it is necessary to carry out the full test, issue the test report, review and take the evidence (DID and BQE review are required)
2).EPL:
a. Reference listing refers to that the customer cites the listing certificate of original module (certificate holder is not the applicant) for listing. This type of project only contains a [Listing] work order. The lab needs to check whether the Bluetooth hardware and software scheme is consistent with the original listing information. (DID needs to be purchased, and BQE does not need to be reviewed)
b. New model listing refers to that the customer just changes the information other than the bluetooth solutions, such as model, appearance, color, PCB circuit and non-bluetooth wireless technology on the basis of listed products (certificate holder is the applicant) for sales or other reasons, and there have been no changes to the Bluetooth scheme by review of laboratory, therefore the listing models can be added into the listing DID (no need to buy DID nor review BQE)

Certification Mode: Lab test + BQE audit +SIG issuing certificate.

Validity of Certificate: The issued certificate is permanently valid as long as the product does not change.

Market Spot Check: All members must comply with the Enforcement Plan
1) Supervision: The scope of market supervision covers all products with Bluetooth wireless technology
▪If SIG is unable to verify that a product complies with standard requirements for listing and using file data, then the company will be notified to fail to meet the requirements of the BQB certification and may be subject to Enforcement Plan **(Enforcement)
▪If the customs cannot verify that a product meets the bluetooth SIG compliance requirement, the product may be seized and frozen until it meets the requirement, otherwise the product will be destroyed.
