In order to further improve the quality management level of construction enterprises, provide high-quality buildings for the society, and meet the strong professional needs of quality management in the construction field, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China decides to apply Code for Quality Management of Engineering Construction Enterprises (GB/T 50430) in the certification of the quality management system in the construction field

As the first management standard for quality management of construction enterprises, Code for Quality Management of Engineering Construction Enterprises (GB/T 50430), is characterized by advancement, guidance, and flexibility, specifically reflected in:

The basic idea of GB/T 50430 is consistent with that of ISO 9000 series of standards, and comprehensively covers the requirements of ISO 9001 standard with respect to content;

GB/T 50430 fully embodies the characteristics of management activities of construction enterprises with respect to the article structure arrangement, and highlights the process method and PDCA thinking;

GB/T 50430 combines the management characteristics of the construction industry and puts forward many further requirements on the basis of ISO 9001 standard;

GB/T 50430 is characterized by outstanding localization and industrialization, with concise and clear language, convenient for enterprises to implement;

GB/T 50430 is consistent with the current management mode of China's construction industry. Not only will the construction enterprise not increase the burden when implementing it, but on the contrary, it will reduce the burden due to the reduction of formal operations caused by the enterprise's misunderstanding of ISO 9000 standard.

GB/T 50430 closely integrates the requirements of various laws and regulations on construction management issued in China, so as to promote the process of legalization of construction management through the implementation of this standard;
