Product Carbon Footprint Verification

Product carbon footprint refers to the total amount of direct and indirect greenhouse gases released by a product (or a service) throughout its life cycle. There are currently more than one hundred types of greenhouse gas known, but the carbon footprint of the product includes the six types of greenhouse gas required to reduce emissions under the Kyoto Protocol: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).
The life cycle process of a product is often called a process from the cradle to the grave, that is, a process from the extraction and processing of raw materials, to product production, packaging, marketing, use, reuse, and product maintenance, to recycling and final waste disposal. But for many intermediate products, the product life cycle is often defined as the process from the cradle to the gate, that is, a process from the extraction of raw materials, the completion of their own processing, and the delivery of the products to downstream customers.
The process of product carbon footprint calculation is to verify the energy consumption, material consumption and emissions of the product in each link of the life cycle. Through the calculation of the product carbon footprint, the enterprise can confirm the product's carbon emissions in each link of the life cycle, so as to formulate corresponding emission reduction plans and targets, thereby providing a basis for the management of the enterprise and the supply chain.
Evaluation basis for carbon footprint:
ISO 14067 Greenhouse Gas - Product Carbon Footprint Quantification Requirements and Guidelines
PAS 2050 Regulations on Evaluation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Life Cycle of Goods and Services
The product carbon footprint service provided by Ti Certification is the basis for the organization to implement the carbon reduction strategy. On the basis of realizing the quantitative evaluation of the greenhouse effect, it also provides basis for the organization to evaluate and compare the environmental performance or environmental cost of similar or different types of products in the industry, assists in the low-carbon transformation of enterprise products, and also lays the foundation for the operation of low-carbon market mechanisms (such as carbon labels, carbon tariffs).
Ti Certification can also help brands and partners' products to enter the markets of developed countries and break through the "low carbon barriers". Our professional knowledge and experience in electrical, home appliances, consumer products and other fields will be your greatest help.
Product carbon footprint calculation
Product carbon footprint certification
Low carbon product design
Product life cycle assessment
Through carbon footprint evaluation, enterprises can discover the source of greenhouse gas emissions, and then formulate reasonable and economical emission reduction plans and programs combined with the actual situation of the enterprises, and effectively manage the their carbon footprint.
The carbon footprint report is also an effective means for enterprises to communicate with the outside world. Through the carbon footprint report, the enterprise can report the its carbon footprint and emission reduction plans, actions and progress to relevant stakeholders.
Carbon footprint certification helps products break through green trade barriers, enter the international supply chain, and enter the international high-end market.
Our advantage:
Professional low-carbon consulting, planning, and assessment teams, with more than 10 years of experience in international and domestic carbon emission reduction project development, carbon trading, regional low-carbon planning, and product life cycle assessment. Ti Certification is the sponsor of the National Full Life Cycle Green Management Committee and has established a special GPM system for green manufacturing evaluation to provide enterprises in various industries with green factories, green supply chains, green parks, green design products, and product life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint, ecological design report and other one-stop services.
